Amy & Matt had a wonderful wedding day at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A Minneapolis Summer Wedding!

There’s just something about a summer wedding in Minneapolis, and Amy & Matt’s Nicollet Island Pavilion wedding was that something and then some. Held on the beautiful grounds next to the Mississippi River, this soiree was full of special moments, laughter and all the love that can make a room sparkle. From their first glance to the last dance, every moment was memorable.

Amy and Matt’s wedding was the epitome of who they are — our hearts for community and warmth, realness and joy. There was a buzz in the air from the very beginning of the day. Amongst the rays of sunlight, sounds of laughter, and bubbly grand sight, Amy prepared with her bridesmaids in a light and cheerful suite. Her sense of style was classic and elegant, and she wore that satin dress beautifully with an angelic smile. Across the way, Matt and his groomsmen swapped stories, cracked some jokes and clinked glasses to the day they were all waiting for.

The place – Nicollet Island Pavilion – is still one of the most classic and stunning Twin Cities wedding venues. Set upon the historic Nicollet Island, this waterfront location served as the perfect setting for a summer romantic and stylish celebration. Its exposed-brick interior and sweeping Minneapolis Skyline views provided both elegance and an air of rural beauty — much like Amy and Matt’s journey to love.

They were married outside under a cloudless blue sky, trees greeted a breeze and the city skyline stood in the distance. Guests laughed and wept as Amy made her entrance and walked down the aisle to Matt. It was the way they both stared so intently at each other once they locked eyes and you could just tell their bond was real. Their vows were a perfect mix of the sweet and the silly and they were met with laughter and tears from everyone in attendance.

Following the ceremony, the golden sun dipped low in the sky, painting the river in gold and guests enjoyed cockatils on the patio. Incredible Details: The reception space was perfectly decorated with pale florals and romantic lighting, and the details all spoke to the style that I knew Amy and Matt to exemplify — classic, crisp and bursting with heart.

The reception was loaded with memorable moments like their sweet and emotional first dance, and affectionate toasts from family and friends. Laughter filled the room as friends and family told the story of how Amy and Matt met, grew together and formed a relationship rooted in love, respect and joy. Every word spoken was a reminder of how these two not only love each other intensely, but also make each other better.

The dance floor filled up fast and stayed crowded all night as the evening progressed. From grandparents to tiny cousins, everyone took part in the fun. There was an electricity in the room — the one that’s only felt when two people are meant to be, and everyone in the room knows that this is the case.
