Andrew + Karen | Wedding Day

Andrew & Karen had a wonderful wedding day at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina. The reception was at the Radisson Blu MOA in Bloomington, MN.

There are certain wedding days that you just will never forget – not just because of the gorgeous details, but because of the pure love between two people and the happiness that surrounds them from everyone who surrounds them. Andrew and Karen’s wedding day was just that sort of bash. Paired with a traditional ceremony at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and black tie reception at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, their day was one romantic moment after another, classic elegance, and just all around warm and fuzzies among a lovely, lovely backdrop.

There was no question from the start of the day, this wedding was destined to be magical. Karen prepared with her bridesmaids and nearest and dearest. It was a room filled with energy, laughers and feeling as she got ready to walk down the aisle with mom. She looked amazing in her dress, make up, and everything else, but the joy in her eyes made everything shine! A few blocks away, Andrew was with his groomsmen, making toasts, tying ties and taking in the weight of what the day would hold.

The wedding took place at sleek Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church — a beloved, classic Edina, Minnesota venue. The church was so pretty, with soft lighting and such a feeling of reverence that was perfect for Andrew and Karen to say their vows in front of their loved ones. As Karen made her way down the aisle, everyone’s eyes were on her — but Andrew’s expression was priceless. It was a moment of love, respect and happy tears.

Their Catholic nuptial mass was traditional and intimate, a testament to their common faith and love for each other. The readings, the music, the vows all flowed seamlessly together to reflect a beautiful ceremony that united two families and paid tribute to the very essence of who and what they were as a couple.

Following the ceremony, guests headed to Radisson Blu at Mall of America, a hip and chic location to contrast the rustic vibe of the morning. The formal ballroom and modern simplicity of the venue in downtown Bloomington served as a great juxtaposition to the classic surroundings of the church.

The reception was one big celebration in every sense of the word. Cocktails were drunk, a fabulous dinner was devoured, but mostly the room was filled with love and laughter. The toasts were one of the best parts of the evening – bringing tears and laughs and reminiscing after hearing some heartfelt, light-hearted and special stories that took everyone back to Andrew and Karen’s journey together.

Their first dance was all grace and emotion, perfectly setting the tone for a night of celebration and dancing long into the evening. Everyone from young guests to grandparents got on the dance floor. The energy was electric – a testament to how deeply Andrew and Karen are loved by the people in their lives.
