Bridget & Riley had a wonderful wedding day! The ceremony was at the historic Basilica of St Mary in Minneapolis. The reception was at the Calhoun Beach Club, Minneapolis.

There was excitement in the air that day. Bridget’s morning was spent in preparation with her bridesmaids, at every turn filled with laughter, music, and half a dozen things that never happen except for at your own wedding. She was beautiful in her gown — classic, elegant, happy. There was happiness in her eyes, of course, but also the profound love and commitment she was getting ready to celebrate.

Afterwards, Riley and his groomsmen had a leisurely and joyous morning, complete with laughter, stories, and some heartfelt reflection. Getting dressed as he read Bridget’s handwritten note, the day ahead became real — he was about to marry his best friend, and it showed in every smile and every breath he took quietly.

Their service was held at the historic (ok it’s a church) Basilica of St. Mary, a Minneapolis institution revered for it’s majestic architecture, towering interior, and spiritual wonder. The church was silenced and held it’s collective breath as Bridget walked the aisle. All eyes were on her — but Riley’s face said it all. It was one of reverence, love, and that something extremely extraordinary was happening before us.

The Catholic service was heartfelt and traditional, but also completely personal. With heartfelt readings, gorgeous music and age-old practices, Bridget and Riley pledged their love in front of the friends and family who have been with them every step of the way. The basilica was as grand as their vows to each other were true.

Following the ceremony, guests proceeded to the Calhoun Beach Club, one of Minneapolis’s most glamorous and sophisticated wedding venues. Conveniently located next to Bde Maka Ska, the visually stunning venue’s sweeping lake views and contemporary vibe provided the ideal backdrop for a night of revelry.

The reception venue was full of warmth, beauty and well-placed detail — from candlelit ambiance, to blooms and more décor that showcased both Bridget and Riley’s classic style and timeless vision. From their beautiful entrance as bride and groom all the way to their romantic first dance, the evening was nothing short than a delightful sequel of their love tale.

As family and friends made heartfelt toasts, they spoke of the journey Bridget and Riley have taken together, of how they met, of what it is about them that makes their relationship work and of how both have always brought joy to those around them. The toasts were personal, heartfelt speeches filled with laughter and appreciation, and served as a reminder to everyone of how undeniably awesome this couple is.

As the night unfolded, the dance floor was packed with guests ready to party, and the room had an electric feel. From sweet family moments to super fun laughing bouts among friends, the reception was a genuine expression of love and community at the start of a gorgeous and meaningful journey.
