Keely + Tim | Wedding Film

Keely & Tim had a wonderful wedding on 8/31/2014 in Alexander, MN.

There’s something about small-town Minnesota weddings that feels deeply grounded — in family, in tradition, and in genuine love. That’s exactly what we witnessed on August 31, 2014, when Keely and Tim tied the knot in Alexandria, MN. From the very first moment we stepped into their day, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a wedding focused on pageantry or perfection. It was about people. Real moments. Real joy.

Keely started her morning surrounded by the kind of friends who’ve known you for years — the ones who can laugh with you, cry with you, and fix your hair without saying a word. The getting-ready space buzzed with a quiet warmth. Her mom helped her into her gown, smoothing the lace just so. Keely looked calm, steady, and so ready for the day ahead.

Tim got ready just a few rooms away. His guys kept things light — teasing him one minute, helping him with his tie the next. He wasn’t nervous. He was focused. He read a note from Keely just before heading out for their first look, and whatever nerves he might’ve had melted away in an instant.

That first look was everything. No music, no crowd — just the two of them in a quiet spot surrounded by trees. Keely walked up, touched his shoulder, and when Tim turned around, he didn’t say much. He didn’t need to. The way he looked at her said it all.

The ceremony took place outdoors — sun overhead, a slight breeze rustling the trees, and their loved ones gathered in folding chairs with tissues already in hand. The vows weren’t rehearsed to perfection; they were heartfelt. A little shaky at times, maybe, but completely honest. That’s what made them unforgettable.

After the kiss and cheers, guests moved on to the reception, which was just as relaxed and welcoming as the ceremony. It wasn’t about chandeliers or towering cakes (though their dessert table was worth a second look). It was about the speeches from siblings that had everyone laughing one second and wiping their eyes the next. It was about Keely and Tim’s first dance — the way they held each other close, heads touching, like they had nowhere else to be but in that moment.

One of our favorite parts of the night came after dinner, when the sun dipped below the trees and the dance floor opened up. Friends danced like nobody was watching. Parents swayed to old love songs. Kids zipped between tables with frosting on their faces. It was messy in the best way.

Filming this wedding was less about capturing the “big” moments and more about the small, honest ones — the glances across the room, the way Keely grabbed Tim’s hand during the toasts, how he leaned in to make her laugh during portraits. That’s the kind of footage we love to deliver: the stuff that brings you back not just to what happened, but how it felt.

Keely and Tim, thank you for trusting us with your story. It was a joy to witness and even more of a joy to preserve it for you.
