A Wedding Full of Love, Laughter, and Legacy: Liz and Jack’s October Celebration

Epic Wedding in the Twin Cities: Liz and Jack

A Fall Wedding to Remember — October 19, 2024

There are wedding days, and then there are wedding days. The kind that you remember not just because of the beautiful details or stunning venues, but because of the love that radiated from every moment. Liz and Jack’s wedding on October 19, 2024, was exactly that kind of day. Hosted in the heart of Minnesota, with a ceremony at the warm and welcoming Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Woodbury and a lively reception at the stunning Quincy Hall in Minneapolis, this celebration was a blend of romance, joy, heartfelt emotion, and non-stop energy.

At Sunset Blue Productions, we’ve been filming weddings for over 20 years, and we can say with confidence—this was a day to remember. From the quiet, soul-stirring moments to the high-energy dance floor shenanigans, Liz and Jack’s wedding had it all. We’re excited to share their story, full of love, beauty, and a whole lot of happy tears.

A Sacred Start: The Ceremony at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church

There’s something incredibly intimate and moving about a wedding ceremony, and when it’s held at a place as lovely as Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Woodbury, you know it’s going to be meaningful. The beautiful light filtering through the stained glass, the wooden beams above, the solemnity and joy in the air—it all came together for a deeply emotional experience.

What made it even more special? This was the very first wedding officiated by the priest. That’s right—Liz and Jack were his first couple! And you would never have known it. His words were warm and heartfelt, filled with sincerity and wisdom beyond experience. You could see how honored he felt to be part of this milestone for the couple—and it added a personal, spiritual depth to the ceremony that few weddings are lucky to have.

As Liz walked down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Jack’s expression said it all. Pure awe. And when they exchanged vows and rings, the sincerity in their voices reflected not just promises, but years of shared memories and unwavering devotion.

Pre-Ceremony Letters: Vows from the Heart

Before the ceremony, Liz and Jack exchanged handwritten letters—a moment we had the privilege of capturing on film. These weren’t just simple notes; they were love stories in their purest form.

From Jack:

“To my beautiful bride, Elizabeth. When we first met five years ago, it did not take me long to realize what I had found. I locked eyes on you. The rest was history. You’re the most beautiful person inside and out.”

And from Liz:

“Jack, there are so many things that I love about you. And it’s hard to list them all out. I love how kind you are to everyone. I love how patient you are with me. I love how strong and supportive you are, not only to me, but your whole family.”

As wedding videographers, we know when we’re capturing something truly special. These letters were more than just vows—they were windows into the heart of their relationship. Their words painted a picture of not just romance, but of deep respect, friendship, and enduring support. It was an unforgettable highlight of the day.

The Reception: Quincy Hall at Its Finest

After the emotional beauty of the ceremony, guests headed to one of the premier wedding venues in Minneapolis—Quincy Hall. Spacious, chic, and filled with character, Quincy Hall provided the perfect contrast to the quiet elegance of the church. It was time to celebrate!

The space was absolutely breathtaking. Tables adorned with elegant green decor, delicate white flowers, and surrounded by the glow of love and laughter. The floral arrangements were a perfect blend of simple beauty and heartfelt symbolism—white roses, daisies, and cheerful yellow sunflowers. A color palette that not only matched the fall season, but also the joy that Liz and Jack bring to everyone around them.

As guests entered the reception, you could feel the energy shift. It was time for fun—and wow, did the bridal party bring it!

Grand Entrance with a Bang

Some bridal party entrances are sweet. Some are silly. Liz and Jack’s? Absolutely unforgettable.

With music pumping and cheers from guests, the bridal party burst into the reception room like rock stars. The groomsmen literally lifted the best man up in the air as they entered, and the whole room roared with laughter and applause. It was a moment of pure joy and exuberance—exactly what a wedding celebration should be.

And then came the stars of the evening: Liz and Jack, hand in hand, beaming from ear to ear.

First Dance: A Perfect Dip

One of our favorite moments of the night was the first dance. The room grew quiet. The lights dimmed. And then, to the soft strains of their chosen song, Liz and Jack took the floor.

You could see the way they looked at each other—like no one else existed. As they swayed in rhythm, the connection between them was so strong it was almost tangible. And then—the dip.

Jack dipped Liz with such confidence and flair, the whole room erupted in cheers. It was like something out of a movie. A romantic, effortless, heart-melting moment that encapsulated their love story in a single movement. We were lucky enough to catch it all on film, and it’s a scene we’ll never forget.

Toasts That Touched the Soul

Weddings are often full of wonderful speeches, but some toasts rise above—and Liz’s father delivered one of those rare, deeply emotional tributes that left the entire room speechless.

“Jack. As far as I’m concerned, you’re taking over the most important job of my world. Take care of my baby girl. You need to cherish every day with her as I have with her mother.”

There it was. A father’s love. A lifetime of memories summed up in just a few sentences. His voice cracked with emotion, and as we scanned the room, we saw more than a few guests wiping their eyes. It was an unforgettable reminder of what weddings are truly about—family, legacy, and love.

Captured by Alexis Christine: A Visual Love Story

Every moment of Liz and Jack’s day was beautifully photographed by the incredibly talented Alexis Christine. From the candid pre-ceremony prep to the spark-filled dance floor antics, she captured it all with grace and style.

Her photos told a story—of joy and sincerity, of elegance and spontaneity. Whether it was the gentle way Liz held her bouquet of white roses and daisies, or the laughter echoing through the bridal suite, every frame was filled with life. Alexis Christine truly did a phenomenal job.

Joy, Faith, and Everlasting Love

Throughout the day, the energy was unmistakable: loving, faithful, and full of joy. Liz and Jack didn’t just throw a party—they created a space where love overflowed.

From the moment they exchanged letters to the energetic entrance of the wedding party, from the tearful vows to the cheering crowd as they danced, every second was filled with intention and heart.

This wasn’t just a celebration of a marriage—it was a celebration of who Liz and Jack are: kind, joyful, grounded, and deeply in love.
